it worked well for a couple of weeks now it won’t come up in the wmp or if it does it says it can’t sync or freezes…
any thoughts?
Does Windows Explorer see it? Device Manager?
Is the player is MTP mode? You can’t depend on the Auto-Defect setting, unless you depend on it to be un-dependable. 
You might want to try setting the Clip’s USB setting to MSC–it performs more reliably over MTP mode.
