Sansa clip unrecognized by wmp

I’ve had my sansa clip since Feb. and I love it, but since completing a 14 day free Rhapsody trial,windows media player no longer recognizes it.When I plug in the usb, I get the audio jingle that says the computer recognizes a device has been plugged in, but nothing else happens. I have Windowsxp,wmp 11 and have re-installed the sansa clip,Rhapsody and real player, tried going back to a restore point,have tried everything my husband and I can think! Putting it on “hold” and pushing the center button before plugging it in didn’t work either.HELP!
