WHERE CAN IA GET A AC ADAPTER FOR MY SANSA CLIP

WHERE CAN IA GET A AC ADAPTER FOR MY SANSA CLIP - I DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO A USB PORT

Here is one I like to use…LINK

If you have a Best Buy or Circuit City near by, then they should have one available.

Wal-Mart has Scoche chargers in a two-pack: one for home and one for your car.  They also have a Scoche dual-USB car charger for two devices.  You’ll need your own USB cable for all of these chargers.

Well, you can use just about any AC Adapter avaliable, I currently use an old (don’t even know the model…) MP3 player AC Adapter to charge my clip. Just need about 5V of current I believe. Just try Best Buy, Circuit City, and the likes.

However… You say that you don’t have access to a USB port. If you don’t, then how are you putting your music onto your Clip, besides the point that computers as far back as 95 have USB ports.

Here’s a tip…

I have a Motorola Bluetooth headset for my cell phone. As I went to charge it one day, I noticed the connector on the charger looked conspicuously similar to the Mini-B USB connector on my Sansa’s cable. So I connected my Clip to the headset charging cable – while gritting my teeth in case I was doing something stupid that would burn out the Clip. But nope… it started charging as normal. It worked perfectly. I now use the headset cable to charge my Sansa more frequently than my actual USB port, since it’s more convenient to do it that way than to have the Sansa dangling off of my laptop and taking up one of its few USB ports.

So before you go out and buy a new gewgaw to charge your Sansa, check out the chargers you already have. You might already have one that will work.

Hey I ordered that Macally charger, based on the info in this forum, just got it inthe mail today.  But the cable that it comes with is not for the CLIP - it’s for a different Sansa player.  Are you guys sure that this charger works fine with the Clip?  I’m assuming you use the PC charge cable that came with the player…just wanted to be sure before I try it.  Going to Europe in a few weeks and wanted to take my Clip with me!

Yes use the Clip cable or any mini USB cable.  I use my Clip cable with my Macally charger and it works fine.

Great - thanks much!

Yes they are exactly the same. I have been using mine for lots of stuff for years. If you really want to be lazy, and hi-tech, you can find these on Ebay as motorola K1m retractable USB chords. They are nice, and only about ten dollars.

I believe that any ac adaptor that has a USB Mini-B cable end should work. USB is a standard that provides a 5 volt power supply. I use my cell phone, my bluetooth and my digital camera’s adaptors, which ever is closest at hand, and they all work fine.
