I have a 2-3 yr old Clip and previously was able to copy music and play it successfully. I have changed notebooks and now operate under Vista Home Premium SP2. Today I updated the firmware on the Clip and when I Sync music with Window MP 11 I can see the music on the Clip but when I attempt to play the new music it displays the song title and time bar but does nothing. Before I updated the firmware when attempting to play new music it would rapidly display the songs in the album and sit on the last song playing nothing. This was with USB set to autodetect. When I switched to MSC mode I could not see any music on the device through ‘my computer’ in windows. Have not yet tried to upload or sync in that mode…
I would appreciate any hints, I was previously able to drag & drop with Win XP or sync…
I have also installed Sansa Updater today and everytime I run Updater it trys to download the manual and appears to be successful. After I click finish it tells me how to run Updater and get to the manual but it is never there. Updater is also not installed in the all programs area of the start menu. I had to force a shortcut to the list and to the desktop… strange. Sure would be nice to have access to the manual and find out what is going on between the Updater, Vista, Firefox etc that is causing all these issues.
