Unable to Access Contents of Older USB w/SecureAccess

Hello,

I work at a law firm and after months of asking, an accountant finally sent over documents via encrypted flash drive - wanted to mention this to underscore the fact that I did not purchase, nor format this USB. With that said, after I create my new password when prompted with SecureAccess (and by following the guide step-by-step), I keep getting the error that says “Unable to write vault structure. This program cannot continue.” After closing that error, I am then prompted to enter my new password in order to access the vault. However, I am then presented with another error stating “Failure reading the filesystems file.”

For further context, I am able to see the files I need to access in windows explorer, I just can’t run them. Additionally, they’re QBB files and I don’t have QuickBooks, so I was hopeful to view them using SecureAccess. Not sure if it’s relevant for this thread, but as this is a company computer, I cannot download additional software without authorization, so my hands are a bit tied. Further, it appears each file is password-protected (as the accountant sent over the accompanying passwords), but I can’t even get to the point of entering them in. All this to say, is there any fix SanDisk-wise to explore so that I can access these files? Trying to avoid going through QuickBooks, my IT department, etc. as time is of the essence and it appears as though the issue is with the USB and/or SecureAccess software. Any advice greatly appreciated!
