SansaClip+ will only work while plugged in

My SansaClip+ will only play/display the screen while it is plugged into the wall or computer.  I have charged the battery.  I have tried to reset.  I get no display whatsoever as soon as I unplug it from the wall.  I have had it for 7 months.  Any suggestions?

Just spoke with customer support.  They were very helpful.  My player has died.  :(  But I guess it’s good that it happened within the 1 yr. warranty.  

Good. I was going to suggest calling SanDisk Tech Support, but you wisely figured that out before I saw your post. Thankfully, this isn’t a common problem on this model, but it is indeed good that it happened within the warranty period.

UPDATE: We fixed it! Turns out, the battery wasn’t connected with both wires. Fixed the problem by soldering.

Is there any way at all possible to fix this?
