I put 2 AVI video files into the converter, but the “convert” button stays grey. Does that mean it doesn’t need to be conveted? I wanted to find out before loading it to the Fuze, in case it won’t play or I have trouble deleting it (as is the problem with another mp3 player that I have). Do AVI’s need to be converted by the Sansa converter?
Does it recognize your mp3, that happened to me when it wasn’t recognized or plugged in
I use Windows XP Service Pack 3, yet Sansa Fuze isn’t recognized. I am trying to convert some music videos on my computer, and put them on a data CD-R. Then I can take the CD-R and my Fuze over to my girlfriend’s Windows Vista computer (which recognizes it, no problem) to put the videos onto my Fuze. Do I have to do the converting on my girlfriend’s computer as well, since my XP won’t see it?
Check to see if it is correctly installed on your computer, you can do this by going to control penal system device manager and check and if it is there(it would be under portable device) if not click unistall ,then click search( find these buttons at the top) or if it is not there at all just click search
and if this doesn’t work ask Tapeworm or Convertionbox they might be able to help you (find them at other forums in here)
Thank you for your help. It appears that the problem is just my computer. It says that the device is connected, working properly, installed correctly, etc. I used my girlfriend’s computer (Windows Vista) and it instaleld songs fine. I’ll try the videos on her computer later. Thanks again.

Have you tried plugging the fuze , going to the device manager, deleting the USB drivers and then doing a Scan for new hardware?
