Sansa Fuze not recognized.

Well, my Sansa Fuze has this problem that sometimes it is recognized and sometimes it is not. Its brand new from SanDisk (I just RMA’d my old one) and the one they gave me was brand new. Could the sync cable be at fault and where could I purchase a new one?

Yes, the cable could be faulty.

But first, make sure you are connecting to the computer (not a hub) and try putting the computer in the most direct connection mode: Settings/System Settings/USB Mode/ MSC. You might also type “not recognized” into the search box for other suggestions.

You can find cables on Amazon or from cellphone-accessory sellers for $5 or less. 

Make sure it is for the Sana e200 or Fuze. An iPod cable will do damage.
