Sansa e280 Syncing Music Problems

Whenever I attempt to drag and drop several songs into WMP and click the sync button it says it has put just one song on the device and for the rest of the songs it shows me a error. However, when I disconnect the device and look in my music, there is no music on it. Before I did this I did format it, could this be the problem? Also, I checked to see if I needed new drivers and it said I didnt. Ive never had any problems with my mp3 player until now.

Please help!

I have the same problem!

I tried to format my e280, but it wouldn’t do it completely.

After that, it will synch one song (or maybe an album) and then

give me some error messages and stop.

And when I turn the player on again, it says its empty.

I’ve had this thing for two years, and I really love it!

Does anyone have any help they can offer?

Thanks,

   Devan

Maybe . . . if you give some details about exactly what you did in attempting to format it. Also, is your player a v1 or v2?

Don’t use WMP its unreliable just go to the music directory on the player and paste whatever you are attempting to copy.

Only problem with your post, asgaardguard…

A. you didn’t state what mode to have the MP3 player in. (MTP and MSC yield two different results in relation to synching, data transfer, and reliability.)

B. Depending which mode it’s in, it may actually do the exact same thing that Kayvincent and Gdfan5692 say happens when using WMP, where it will transfer some (or all) of the data, and the Player won’t recognize the music was added.
