Sansa Clip barely working

My Sansa Clip stopped working yesterday, I don’t think it was even after connecting to my PC. The problems:

  • When I try to play music, it starts in “pause” mode. Won’t even play when I “force” to play mode
  • slow booting and shutdown times
  • I can connect to my PC, but the only file showing is DevIcon.fil (182,612 bytes)

So I can’t use it, and have no ideas left. It’s fully charged, about 40% used space, firmware version is 02.01.32F.

On your Clip, try Settings -> Format.  Note that any music currently on it will be erased.
