Sansa C250 - Lost left channel

Greetings, all!  I’m new to the whole mp3 player thing, so please bear with me if I ask a tired old question.  I didn’t see my question on the list of topics.

I received a Sansa C250 as a Father’s Day gift, and now just a month or so later, I discovered today that the left channel is silent.  I’ve checked different headphones, with no change.  I played music that I am absolutely sure had left channel sound recently, and the same mp3 file works fine when played on my computer.  So I can only assume it’s the Sansa. 

Can I / how can I get this replaced?  What options exist?
