My Cruzer has been working properly for some time…yesterday, I transferred photos to it from my Nikon S8000 camera…after the transfer, I now get the following message whenever I try to use the drive…“The disk in drive I is not formatted. Do you want to format it now?”…any insight will be greatly appreciated…
2 things can cause this. the FAT is corrupt and you will need to format the drive to fix it or the drive is bad. if format fails it is a bad drive and would need to be replaced.

Make sure all your files are backed up before doing this. It also helps ejecting first “removing the device safely form Windows” before taking it off to avoid any future issues.
