Brand new Sandisk Cruzer 8GB asks for a format.

Hello there,

I Need your help, i’ve just bought my Sandisk Cruzer Blade 8 GB SDCZ50- 008G,

As I plug the cruzer in the USB, A Winow pops up and demands a format before 

The use of the device, ofcourse i’ve tried to format it, and it just gave me an error: “Fomat cannot be completed”.

Please, can anyone help me? I Really nead this Disk-On-Key right now.

Hi Bud. Did you try to format this on Fat32 or NTFS? And it would be a huge help if you can post the exact error that you get.

Your USB drive is defective.  Return it for a replacement.

where would you be able to return it. i have this same problem. i dont have the recipt for the store i bought it from

If purchased with a credit card many stores can confirm that you bought it from them.  Worst case if the item is under warrantee return it to SanDisk.
