really frustrated...

while i’m trying to listen to my connect it hangs up and reboots…I’ve done a factory reset on it and I my current versions are:

ZAP:  1.1.1.50371r

OS:  1.1.1.50239

Boot loader:  24450

I would love to use the recovery tool but when I try to install it and it nears completion i get an error “DPInst result: [-2147483648]” I’m currently running Vista Ultimate 64bit.

any information you could provide would be helpful

Look for a file called DPINST.LOG … it should be in your Windows directory, probably C:\Windows.  I don’t have an example of that log so I’m not sure how it’s formatted, but if it has date-time values in it, look for entries around the time that your recovery tool installation failed.

Well there you go.

I suggest calling SanDisk and asking them about how you can do recovery on a 64-bit system.

Is there some kind of 32-bit compatability mode you can run on Vista 64-bit?

SanDisk is only supporting the Connect on Vista 32-bit.

But that basically means just being able to run the Recovery Tool, right?
