problems after firmware update

fuze 8gb worked perfectly before upgrade…upgrade also worked ok…all the music previously in the fuze is still there and plays perfectly but although it is recognized by my computer, it only displays the songs that have been loaded after the upgrade…none of the previous ones are there so i can’t edit…do i have to basically start over…format and reload???

Probably your Fuze switched USB mode from MSC to MTP or vice versa. Look in the settings menu on the Fuze under USB setting to switch. Files uploaded in one mode don’t show up under the other mode.
