Problem Converting Video

I am trying to convert video for use on my 8gig Fuze.  I am trying their conversion software and when I click CONVERT acts like it is converting.  The status box pops up but stays at 0% forever.  After 53 minutes it still says 0% but there are no error messages.

I am trying to conver xvid AVI files and there is plenty of room on my fuze.

I could use AnyVideoConverter but not sure what flavor of video the fuze wants.

I love my fuze but have two major complaints.  The blasted connector should be miniUSB and it should play most video formats.  I can only assume they did not want to pay the licensing fees for them.  I would have rather paid a little more for my player and had those features.

the fuze is for music the video is like icecream after a meal its not the point of the device.

Not much of a response.  If a diner advertises ice cream after the meal I expect to get it.

The Sansa Fuze claims that it plays video and provides the software for conversion.  It should be able to play video

Is there something I need to be doing differently or is there specifications on EXACTLY what format the video needs to be in?

I thought you had a reply so I didn’t open the message discussion until today.

Video was dessert for me as I didn’t buy it for that, but NOW it is part of the main meal.

SMC board has lots of information on this

SMC

Or look here

Search Feature Used to find out how to convert video - link

I’ve converted them all to .avi and that seems to work for me.

I use anydvdconverter and if it’s an MP4 I transfer it to an AVI file.  I don’t think MP4 works for SMC (I think I tried and that’s why I transfer them to AVI).  AVI seems to work well for the SMC.  And if it’s allready converted, the ADC takes very little time.

I think 98% of the videos I converted first to ADC has worked.  It could even be 99%.  Most didn’t work because the anydvdconverter software wouldn’t do a few (I don’t know why, but that’s fine).  Mine are all .avi format when I use the SMC.

It should play most video formats.

First: The program is horrible. It barely works. It fails and theres nothing we can do about that.

Second: The search feature reveals all.

Third: You will lose features if the connector was miniUSB

And finally: I heard something about that in an upcoming firmware update. I do not account for its accuracy.

Do you mean video?  It works 98% of time for me…

I have some glitches, but I have about 60gb of movies on various cards.

o you get icecream but its shrimp flavored

if you didnt have the codec download Combined community codec pack and if is the video format the best option is the AVI Format
