I’ve bought two Sansa Clip+ 8gb players over the last year. Had the same fatal problem with both. One day the power button got stuck in a depressed position and i couldn’t get it unstuck… Just wondering if anyone here had a similar experience. I’ve had a lot of Sansa mp3 players, but i only had problems with this particular mp3 player. Anyone else?
Mine is in a skin case and doesn’t have problems. I can see where the raised power button would be more vulnerable to dust or gunk than the slider on the Fuze.
Nope. Maybe you’re applying too heavy of a thumb to turn it on and off?
You can probably use it as a reason to buy a newer model. If only this is out of warranty already.

Or contact Sandisk about a possible free warranty replacement. The OP stated he (or she) bought them less than a year ago, so they should still be under warranty.
