On/Off button broken when dropped

Hi.

I dropped my Clip+ onto a flat floor from 18 inche. It must have landed awkwardly, knocking the On/Off button into the body of the device and leaving it flush with the body.

The On/Off button is now immovable. The player still works correctly in every way except that I can’t turn it on or off. The only way it will turn on is if I connect it to an external powr source.

I have tried to lever the button out, without success. Does anyone know if this is a repairable situation if I open the case?

Thanks

You can normally use Rockbox to remap buttons, but since this is the power button, it probably won’t work, as the device needs to be on to load Rockbox…

But this would only work if Rockbox was already installed on the player. Did the OP mention he had Rockbox on it?
