Not sure this was a good purchase, nothing works!

Need help I bought a Sansa clip 4G two months ago and used it once since. It all ready shows low battery, will not charge, while trying to charge it it froze up and it will not work in my car? I also tried to update it with firmware and my computer will not recognize the hardware. I had a Ipod before I bought this unit so I’m not a rookie when it comes to MP3 players. I can’t return it because best Buy has a 30 return policy.

Call SanDisk Tech Support directly. If they can’t get it going, they can set you up with an RMA (Returned Merchandise Authorization) & get it replaced for you under the warranty.

Under Settings, System settings, what is USB Mode set to?  Try MSC mode–that often handles matters.
