New Sansa Clip+ will not work with 16gb Micro SD

Yes, I gave it an hour at one point.

I am sorry to say, that is more than sufficient …

ok then, I will start the process of returning this.

Thanks for the help all.

In response to Tapeworm’s comment from 7-2, I am glad to hear that news about the Samsung cards. BUT…

I have a similar problem, to what people are expressing but slightly different.  I have a 2gb and a 8gb Samsung SD.  I have no problem with any freezing during the media refresh, but there seems to be a compatability issue with the player.  It reads the card fine, but not the data that I load onto the SD.  It just reads as the folder as “Empty”.  The files are still on there when I connect the SD back to my computer.

I appreciate the help.  I did some searching and doubt my problem is unique, however, I didn’t find it elsewhere in the forums.  Apologies if I overlooked.

Not knowing what else to do, I wonder if a format of the card using the SD Association’s format tool might help.  It couldn’t hurt to try?

No luck.  Folder still comes up empty.  Has anyone had any success here?  If so how?

And did you try connecting the Clip under its USB MSC mode (set under its settings)?

no difference

What type of data (files) are these? You could be seeing the [Empty] message if they are an un-supported format.

Simple Mp3
