My Sandisk Cruzer Edge 32GB does not showing up in Windows Explorer.

My drive doesn’t show up in windows explorer(My Computer). 

I have searched Mr. Google. I downloaded applications such as u3 launchpad, launchpad uninstaller. But it just say that I need a smart drive even though I remove the flash drive and insert it again before installing the u3 launchpad.

Please help me to fix it. My important files are inside there.

If your drive didn’t come with U3 you can’t add U3 to it.

Try using Windows’ Device Manager to assign a different drive letter to the Cruzer.

In Disk Management, my drive was defined as “unknown, not initizialized”. It is “unallocated”. I cannot assign a different drive letter for it. 

What will I do Sir?

Return it.  If recently purchased to where you bought it.  If used for awhile and still under warrantee to SanDisk.

And now you know why it is.

But it could still be under warrantee and thus qualifies for a free replacement.  It doesn’t hurt to check.
