having the same problem described above, audiblesync won’t recognize/activate my new Clip Sport Plus. windows does, however. also tried changing the drive letter. extremely frustrating.
I have reset my Sansa Clip sport to the factory and it connects straight away !!!

After studying my cable, I saw that the rubber on the usb-c would not allow the pins to go in far enough. With a utility knife, I cut about 1/16 of an inch off the rubber and it went in enough to make it work! I labeled that cable Sandisk.
Does it show up if you go to the Computer and look through the list of all your drives?
I fixed it on my Mac using Disk Utility. I erased the drive and reformatted it as MS-DOS FAT with a Master Boot Record partition scheme. Here’s the tricky part: it no longer shows up under Locations in the Finder sidebar. The Clip Jam drive can only be found if you go to the Computer and look through the list of all your drives. In fact, I wonder if this was already the case before I reformatted. I didn’t check there before, so it’s possible it was already behaving this way.
