Hi, I’ve tried resetting my fuze 4gb and have tried turning it on multiple times, but it won’t respond. I even plugged it into my computer hoping that would jump start it, but it still didn’t work. Any suggestions?
I hear about them doing this every once in a while. Does it get (well… did it get) really hot when you would plug it in to charge?
I just picked another fuze up on ebay for parts, and who da thunk that even though it was listed as non-functional and did not turn on, the second I got it, it turned on and synced to my computer, yadda yadda. It plays just fine, but I bought it for a screen and thats the only thing that doesn’t work (waaaaa now I have two fuzes with non-functional screens).
Try mailing it to someone. That seemed to work for mine. Just give it a little while, maybe a week at most and it should turn back on. Of course if you wanted to, you could take it apart and sever and recconect its battery connections. But they are too easy to break.
Yeah it would heat up when it was charging … could that be why it won’t turn on now? I guess I’ll just wait a few days and then try it. I’ve never had any problems with it before. Thanks!

It will get warm, but should not get HOT. Warm is fine Hot is bad.
I bought my fuze through newegg.com around Christmas time… so if it did get hot, what are my options? Is it worth pursuing with SanDisk?
First Call newegg and see what they have to say. If they cant help then yeah call Sandisk.
I agree; check with Newegg first. It depends on whether it was a new unit or a re-furb when you got it.
SanDisk will honor it’s 1 year warranty on a new unit if the dealer’s warranty period as expired, but will not on a re-furb. Newegg sells both from time to time.

Based on absolutely nothing, I belive this problem has to do something with the battery in the fuze. Everyonce in a while a semi-defective battery makes it out to the world…
Thanks everyone! I’m having my husband look into getting it fixed or replaced, so thank you for all the info!
