I’ve bought nine SanDisk 32GB Ultra Fit USB 3.1 Flash Drive over the last few months. The reason for this is I wanted to use some in various systems and others as ready to use backups. However, I’ve found that the images created will flash fine to some drives, but not to others. When they don’t flash to a particular drive its always due to lack of space. I looked at two drives and found that one had ~25 MB less capacity than the other. Also, I noticed some of them were marked made in China and others made in Malaysia - which may perhaps account for some of the differences. Regardless, the inconsistencies make them much harder to work with form my needed use case. It would be great if SanDisk could find a way to make them all be effectively the same capacity, even it that means dropping some space off the drives with larger capacity to ensure they all have the exact same level of working capacity.
