i have one, but there’s a problem. when my father mail it to me from a friend, i immediately connect it to a computer. and it can’t read by the computer. the computer already satisy all the requirements of the unit. what can i do? i don;t what to do.
Are there any error messages on the computer when you connect it?
Also, what about the Clip’s screen? Does it turn on when you connect it and, if so, what does it show?
The Clip will communicate in one of two USB communications modes, MSC or MTP.
On the device, go to Settings > USB Mode > MSC and then plug in. See if the device is recognized as a basic flash drive.
If the unit was loaded in MTP mode, you won’t be able to access the files transferred in this alternate mode. MTP requires Windows XP and Windows Media Player 10 as a minimum.
You may be able to restore / repair MTP by upgrading to WiMP11, but if you’re not dealing with protected media, you can happily continue in MSC mode.
