Did you try using the player menu and setting the USB mode to MTP before connecting the player to the pc? I have never used Audible, however I have a feeling that it might require the player to be in MTP mode.
Try MSC as well…I dont think thatm usb mode is the issue. Can you download the Audible file to your PC and then Drag and drop the file into the audiobook folder?
Everything that is stored shows up as “unknown” and if I click I get a message to please activate device with Audible. Back to the drawing board." title=“Smiley Mad”>
I set the FUZE USB to auto… Nothing and now I will reformat and start again.
If that doesn’t work I will go back to Audible once again.
The format 4 was the final answer to hear the books. I remember having read this before and duhhhhhh, forget to redownload books that were in format 3 from previous MP3. All seems to be working fine.
Is the Audible Manager the same as the Emusic download manager. I can’t seem to find a separate manager for Audible. If they are the same, where’s the Sandisk Digital plug in you are referring to? Sorry top ask
No, the Audible Manager is specific to audiobooks from Audible.com that come in .aa format. The Audible Manager is a seperate application from Windows Media Player that sorts and stores your books, plus transfers them to your device.
MTP mode is needed for the secure WMA transfers. The manager has a second option, integrating into Windows Media Player, but I prefer the standalone manager. The AM has a great interface, multiple bookmarks, it keeps track of the playback position of every file on your device too.
In contrast, well, WiMP has its limits. WiMP has issues playing 64kb/s podcasts, and an inferior GUI for books.
The plugins listed allow the Audible Manager to recognize the individual features of the supported player.
