I re-formatted my sansa sandisk m240 mp3 player and now the mp3 player will not automatically remake the files. The mp3 player cannot do anything but listen to the radio and use the stopwatch. Could someone please send me the download links for these two files and I will see if that fixes the player.
Hi @Ijustwantmymp3, when you format the Sansa m240, it removes the system files needed for the MP3 and menu functions. I blieve, SanDisk no longer officially supports firmware downloads for this model on their website, but you can try checking trusted archive sites like SansaForums or Anythingbutipod. Look for the m240 firmware file (usually named like m240pa.bin).
Once downloaded, copy it to the root directory of the player (in MSC mode), then safely disconnect. The player should update the firmware on its own.
I cannot find the firmware anywhere still.
