Have to free 30kb, but explorer shows no files on Sansa Clip?

Hi there!

I have a Problem (obviously :wink: ): seems like my Sansa Clip isn’t working, when starting it, it tells me there’s “not enough space for Music DB, free 30kb” or something similar. I would do that, if the Thing didn’t shut down immediately after displaying that message! And when I connect it to my computer, it does show up in the Hardware list, but explorer doesn’t find any files on it! What am I supposed to do? I don’t wanna format the whole thing and lose the files on it…

When that message is displayed the clip connects to the computer in MSC mode, rather than MTP (which must have been what you were using).  I have always had to format it when this happened since you can’t see the songs you uploaded in MTP mode.
