Everytime I use my fuze it works for a little while just fine, but then it randomly shuts off by itself. And when I try to turn it back the battery gets really warm and depletes the rest of the charge and I can’t turn it back on until I recharge it? It’s really frustrating. Does anybody have any idea what’s wrong? the firmware version is the one right before the current.

Sounds like you might have a defective unit. I’d suggest taking (or sending) it back to wherever you bought from if you’re within that dealer’s return window and exchanging it for a different one.
If that’s not possible, then call SanDisk for a possible replacement under their 1 year warranty.
