In Windows 10, I dragged an Excel file onto the SecureAccess Vault on my Extreme SSD 1Tb. The idea was to copy it.
My laptop SSD also happens to be Sandisk, 1 Tb, M2 drive.
I was prompted whether I wish to overwrite an old version of existing file, to which I responded “yes”.
The old copy was NOT replaced or overwritten, however, the original file had completely disappeared.
I do not understand what this software is doing and what happened to my original file. Thinking that i was deleted by software, perhaps a bug, I used every imaginable tool to recover a deleted file but the file version I can recover are not valid Excel documents. The file is critically important to me , yet to other people it has perhaps no value.
Is there anything else that can be done to recover this file?
