Cannot access data anymore - is it encrypted or indexed?

Hi community,
I am currently in despair. I suddenly can no longer find my data on my SanDisk Portable SSD 1TB.

The password to open the vault was entered correctly and has not changed in the recent past.

However, when I opened the vault today, the vault was displayed as completely empty. (1) Please take a look at the screenshot.

However, when I look at the data on my system ((2) and (3)), I see all the folders and their contents, but encrypted? / as an index?

I don’t understand that. How can I access the data again? I am not aware of any action that could have led to this.

What can I do now? I really need the pictures and videos back.

Hi @Sereghon

Have you checked our knowledge base articles?

Try this :

SecureAccess has been replaced with PrivateAccess.
All SecureAccess users are advised to back up the SecureAccess vault data and migrate to PrivateAccess.

Hi @suruguri.chaithanya1,
I am currently not on my system with the SanDisk portable, but as far as I remember I cannot create a back up of my vault data, because I cannot access it, since I only see these encrypted files.

If this is fixed, I would like to migrate it to PrivateAccess.

Any idea?

I do not want to believe, that I am the first and only one with this issue :frowning:

Can I provide more details?

@Sereghon have you tried to repair the vault?

Hi @SBrown,

thank you! This actually worked and I have access to the data again.

Now I can do focus on backup, PrivateAccess and migration.

Thank you once again

If you can’t access your data, it could be encrypted (requiring a decryption key) or improperly indexed (affecting search functionality). Check for encryption prompts or rebuild the index to resolve access issues.
