Device seems corrupted. how to reboot?

hello. I have an odd problem. The player wont work and gives me a partial error that says FAT is corrupted. Please connect device to PC and…!!

if i connect it up to PC then it is not recognised and I cant do anything to use the clip+.

Is there anyway to reboot it and start over?

also doea anyone have any advice about using WMP or itunes to sync music with the device or do you just drag and drop files?

Sync stinks; do yourself a favor and leave WMP and (especially) iTunes out of the equation and simply drag & drop (or copy & paste) the files you want from your computer to your player.
