Hi. So heres my problem: I downloaded some comedy videos from “Amazon” to put on my fuze (these videos are WMV files). I pull up the sansa media converter and try and convert them so i can out them on my fuze. After I click “add media” i open a comedy video. A message then comes up saying that i need to install the proper codec.
What do i do from here? What do i need to install?
Thanks a lot!

Yes, in some cases you have to install the proper codec which means it’s Short for _ co mpressor/ dec ompressor,_ a codec is any technology for compressing and decompressing data. Codecs can be implemented in software, hardware, or a combination of both. Some popular codecs for computer video include MPEG, Indeo and Cinepak. You should download sansa video converter (SVC) and try download it on .MPEG format. Most likely this will work on that format. Don’t try the other format as SOME will WORK and OTHERS WILL NOT. As written by “JubJub” take a look at this

Take video u wanna upload and convert it to .mp4 (MPEG4) with AnyVideoConverter (www.any-video-converter.com), with this settings: rezolution at 320x240, vid bitrate 384 or close to that and audio 128kbps/44100khz…
-
Now turn on Sansa Media Converter and convert/upload that .mp4 (MPEG4) file and it will work…
in my case i used A-Z Converter instead AnyVideoConverter but there is no difference i think…
note: u must have -K LITE CODEC PACK and - DRIVERX9 (directx9) installed…

Also you can use any video converter Like WinAvi to get the video to the settings the fuze needs then use SMC To place it on the player.
