Clip won't save...

I’ve been having alot of problems with my clip lately. I try to format it and it does but then as soon as I turn it off or plug it into the computer to charge its like I never even did it everything comes back if I delete a song and turn it off and then turn it back on the song I deleted comes back. And it won’t let me update the firmware I have tried multiple times it either says file path indirect specify file name and/or path or data error ( cyclic redundency). And when I try to download songs it either says disk problem or cannot save to “G” drive try saving somewhere else.

I’ve had it for about 6 months and really haven’t had alot of problems with it until now is it dead and I should just get a new one or is there something I can do to try and fix this??

Try following the instructions in this post from Neutron_Bob.  Don’t bother with the tagging info, but try using the “chkdsk” command as he describes, and if that doesn’t work, try the format described at the end of the post.

When (if) you format, make SURE you’re formatting your Clip ( which you say comes up as drive G: ) and not an actual disk on your computer.
