The slot for the mini usb connector has broken. The charger that came with the Sandisk Clip has a jack plug as well as a mini usb connector. Can l charge the Sandisk Clip by plugging in the charger via the jack socket?
No charger come with the Clip besides the USB-mini-USB cord.
The headphone jack is headphone out. You can’t charge with it. Time to replace the unit.
Worst case scenario, you’ll get to shop around for a new one. There are tons of selections out there already.

Not really. There are far fewer dedicated mp3 players available now as everyone is using their phones for music storage and playback.
