Can anyone help me?

My clip died in the middle of using it.  It now has a full battery but all of my music has disappeared.  I went to reload everything but when I plug my clip into the computer it shows that it is all there.

Question 1: Why did the clip die?  I had about half of the battery life left. . .

Question 2: How can I get my music back?

As far as I know I have the latest addition of the firmware.  FYI, I use Vista and WMP 11.

Slide the power switch to teh ON position and hold it there for 15 seconds, then release.  This will perform a soft reset of the player.
