Z410 attributes

Hello All

I run the Ubuntu OS 18.04  (not Windows) on my Z410 SSD (SanDisk SD8SBBU120G1122).

Ubuntu has a programme GSmartControl, that is similar to the Dashboard .

However the database for the SMART devices covered by GSmartControl doesn’t include the Z410 and nor can it be updated.

Consrquently when I run the tests the results show many  Unknown Attribute  eg

171 Unknown_Attribute -O–CK 100 100 000 - 0
172 Unknown_Attribute -O–CK 100 100 000 - 0
173 Unknown_Attribute -O–CK 100 100 000 - 15
174 Unknown_Attribute -O–CK 100 100 000 - 53

Some are named eg

5 Reallocated_Sector_Ct -O–CK 100 100 000 - 0

I started running GSmartControl becuase occasionally my system just freezes and I have to power off to reboot it.

From the SMART wiki it looks like  ID 174  could be the “unclean shutdown count” which in my case is 53, this looks a reasonvle number for this event so I guess 174 is likely the same attribute for ther Z410 as listed in the SMART wiiki.

I’m not sure how reliable a tool GSmartControl is on reporting faults with my SSD, because every test I’ve done reports back as “Completed without error”.  But my system continues to freeze occasionally.

Maybe it’s missing something re the attributes.  Do the SanDisl Z410 attributes all match up with those in the SMART wiki?

It would be useful if there is a SanDisk document online for the Z410 that shows what the SMART attribures are for each ID number .

Any ideas??

Anyone??

Thanks lrb
