When I use my sandisk flashdrive it becomes literally too hot to touch. I can’t hold onto it for more than a second before it burns my fingers. Why?
Too much being written to it. Did you format it and if so to what format? And what are you writing to the drive?

Is it hot on the initial two hour charge that is needed before use because that’s what I am doing now & it’s very hot! Worried it will fry my iPad?
Charge!! You don’t need to charge a USB drive and you don’t need to reformat new ones either. Whatever you’re doing is wrong.
