Updating e280 from1.02 level to latest?

OK – I would like to kno if it’s possible

to upgrade an old 1.02 level firmware on 

my e280 to the latest 3 level?

Would appreciate any help on this and

links if possible.

There are 2 different hardware versions of the e200 series, v1 & v2. You can verify which model you have by looking in the Settings > Info menu. The 1st or top line will be the firmware version.

This top line will be V01.XX.XX (X’s will vary according to release date) if the player is a v1 machine. If it says 03.XX.XX, you have a v2 device.

And no, you cannot upgrade from a v1 to a v2. On the main e200 series page, you’ll find ‘sticky’ (shaded) posts for the latest firmware update near the top of the message list. Go into whichever one is appropriate for your player and follow the instructions to manually install & update the firmware.

Don’t bother with the Sansa Updater. As this model is doscontinued (and has been for some time), there won’t be any further need for it. Besides, it takes less time to manually install the firmware than it does to download and install the Updater to do it for you. :smiley:
