Strange duplicate glitch on Rhapsody...

So I’ve been having trouble with my new 2GB. My 4GB got left in the rain and now this cheaper one has having problems.

I just updated firmware and have been reloading my music from WMP, using the sync. Not all of my music was saved on the comp, so I opened Rhapsody to download the rest. But when I opened Rhapsody, on the left hand side of the screen where it says “Sources” the options had duplicated. Instead of just listing “Channels” “Photos” “Videos” and “Playlists”, there were two of each option. As far as I can tell, my songs haven’t multiplied… just the options.

Any explanations?

I don’t think it’s necessarily a problem, but it is a bit irritating.

Ah, you have been visited by my favorite PC Poltergeist, Windows Media Player.  Have a look at the folder structure using Windows Explorer.  Sometimes, the folders will be listed as ##MUSIC, for example.

Perhaps, the Rhapsody 4 client sees these duplicate folders.

If they’re identical and empty, delete them.

If all else fails, format the device, which will clear the data area of memory.  The Sansa will rebuild the folder structure automatically, then you can reload your music.
