Stopping Tune Play

I know you use the top mark on the wheel for pausing and resuming.  But how do you actually get a tune to stop without being merely on pause?

When I use the pause feature, if I navigate to other menu items, it shows the tune in the message tray as currently playing.  So it appears that the tune is permanently on pause or play until you change tunes or shut the whole player off.

Is this the way it works or am I missing something?

There is no STOP function per say on the Fuze, or any of the Sansa players for that matter. PAUSE is as close as you can get to it. The only way to stop the scrolling title off the bottom of the screen is to go into a different function, like radio or photos, then back out of it.
