SportClip plays only fraction of some songs, while in past played them whole.

Have ClipSport, several hundred songs in one folder.  For first couple years all songs played in whole.  Over a year now, some songs play only partially, breaking at same point in song, unique for each.  Sources still play en whole, no audible glitches at all.  

Have considered “formatting” drive though unsure of processes after doing so.  Simply transferring *.hex file then click it?

Sounds like possibly some files have become corrupted. I would format & then re-load, given your source files are undamaged.

What you are describing is re-applying the firmware. Don’t know as this might be the sourece of your issue, but it can’t hurt. You can format using the Format option in the Settings menu. Formatting will erase all user-added content, but not the firmware.

Thank you for confirming, oh guru ji. ???  

If I reformat, then what does one do, retransfer the *.hex file and click to install?  Or does the operating system remain intact during/after reformat?
