When I try to listen to music now, all of the files have each second of the runtime moved to a random place in the song. The result is that every song sounds like a chopped-up mess, as if you put a tape in a blender, then glued it back together and listened to it.
I have tried removing the card completely, as well as formatting the boot drive using the format feature in settings, nothing works. All of my files play back like this—old files as well as new files. When I try loading these files onto another .mp3 player, they play fine.
Is this a known issue? Could I strip the Clip Sport down to nothing and install the firmware back onto a blank disk, or will that not work?
