Software not recognizing Sansa e250

I just got my Sansa e250 and have installed the software for the Media Converter. The computer and Rhapsody recognize the connection, but for some reason the Media Converter software is not detection my connection. Anyone that can help?!!? Or have an answer to this???

I’m having the same problem with my e280… Media converter does not recognize the unit even though Windows XP sees it… It says it’s connected…What’s UP???

I keep getting an error message saying the Sansa Media Converter program has encountered an error and has to close.  That’s been about 3 hours ago and I’m still having the same problem.  I’ve uninstalled the program and installed it again, and I’ve rebooted the computer.

Does anybody know how to get the Sansa Media Converter to work?

I have the same problem. If anyone knows how to fix this, it would be a big help. As of now I can put my music on the e280, but I can’t put on any video, which is a huge reason for me getting this…

I download the latest version from ArcSoft. Version 2.5. The free version has worked great.

I have the same trouble with my e260.

I have a question.  I have a version 1 and media converter works fine.  Have had no problems with it.

I purchased a new one for my wife (Version 2) and I can not get the converter to see it.

change back to the first one…works fine, change to the second one…nothing.

Now, I know I can download the “Trial” version from Arcsoft, but that is a constricted program for a trial period.

Is there going to be a upgrade from Sansa?

Why would version 1 work, and version 2 not work, unless the problem is with the new version player?

And what is the proper resolution to this problem?

Hmmm…no answers, no replies?

So far the same from SanDisk.

The Media Converter that came with the mp3 player did not work for me.  This download link below worked great.  I have also included some other useful links.  The Firmware Updater is essential as you should always check for firmware updates for all electronics that you own.
