When registering a product by serial number I expect that the registration page will actually check serials.
It doesn’t.
I just bought a five pack of supposedly Sandisk memory cards and once I opened two of them I found out they had the same serial number. I was able to register one of them as a purchase on the site.
This is worthless. If you want to help people find counterfeits of your products, this needs to change.
Perhaps I will go back to buying Samsung cards. They seem to be less counterfeited. The counterfeiting is not purely Sandisk’s fault, but since Sandisk is doing nothing about the problem, it is partly.
