Have 2 Shakers, 512 MB, and they seem to work just fine, except that one radomly turned itself off after a few hours. Never on any specific song. You can turn it right back on and they work fine for a while then turns off again. Switched memory card to other player and it did same thing. Could this be a problem with the memory card? Would reformatting help? Anyone??

Hi,
I bought a 1st shaker 512 for my daugther and it would turn itself suddenly off with no reason. I went to the shop and exchanged it for another one. When home, we noticed that this second one would also turn itself off with no reason…
HELP !!!
My 512 model does it too. It works fine for a month and now it turns off after a random time. Whats the solution?
Formatting the card with FAT16 helps. Now the player works fine. But I think this was the last product I’ve bought from SanDisc. Any of my old home appliances tells me, if there is a malfunction. A documented blink code would be much more helpfull than only turning off.
…you know, even if there were a documented blink sequence, and it was clearly listed in the user guide or even the quick start guide…there would still be people who wouldn’t understand it. >.>

yeah, seems like you figured it out. that might be a bad card since you tried it with the other player and did the same thing. just reformat it
