Sansa mp3 player

I have been having some issues with an mp3 player.

It is a sansa m240,    1GB 

I am using a dell inspiron 1545 laptop with linux ubuntu. 

I was having trouble taking individual mp3 files off of the player (while it was hooked to the computer).

So I went in and ‘reformatted’ the sansa player.

I reloaded it with my mp3 files.

According to the the player and the computer,  it is full of my new mp3 files.

When I click "safely remove’  {also tried ‘eject’} and disconnect the mp3 player it says something like

attach UM.  ???

When I turn the mp3 player on it says  “No files.”

Any help will be appreciated.

I’m not entirely sure about this but your player is full already with only three songs on it?

Where do you get this from? The OP never gave a number of songs he had on the player. :confounded:

Hey, I have a 2007 Sansa Clip+ that my mom used to own, and I’ve had it for over two years. After adding music, when I play it, the volume is bad. I have to turn the volume all the way up to have it at a normal level. It’s not the file, or my ears (I’m 13, I don’t have bad hearing). Maybe that’s how it was designed? Please help me.
