Sansa Fuze

I recently purchased this player.  I thought I downloaded my play lists from Windows Media Player.  When I plug in my player, it appears that all of my music is on the player, but when I try to play it…all of the folders say they are empty.   What am I doing wrong?  I am electronically challenged!!!

Thanks…

Ok, so how exactly are you copying the music to the Fuze? Can you tell us the process? Also, what format are the music in (WMA, Ogg, FLAC, MP3)?

Hi,

I was trying to download them directly from a cd using Windows Media Player.  When that didn’t work, I went to the internet and downloaded a free converter program “Switch” and converted them to mp3…after conversion, I downloaded them to the Fuze and it appeared to work, but when I went into the player and looked for my music…it still wasn’t there.

Ok, you have to rip the music off of the CD onto your computer. You can do this by using the rip tab in WMP. Then once the CD is on your computer, click the sync tab, then drag that music to the Sync list, and hit sync at the bottom.

Did I say I was electronically challenged???  The cd’s are downloaded to my computer, the rest of your conversation is not making sense to me.  I have looked at WMP and I can’t find the sync at all.

Sorry for being so dense.

ok. Do you have WMP 11? If so up at the top, there are tabs that say, Now Playing, Library, Rip, Burn, Sync, and Media Guide. Do you see these? If not shoot out to windows.com And Search Media Player. Download and install the upgrade. Getting the newest WMP seems to help most people.

I want to thank everyone for all of your help.  I now have everything sync’d and on my player.  You all were great.

Again…thank you very much.
