Sansa Fuze Language (translation), HELP!

I’ve bought a Fuze and it has Hungarian language (I’m Hungarian), but the translation is very poor.

I downloaded the newest firmwire (1.02.28), but the mistakes are the same.

What can I do?..

Can I overwrite the language file myself?

Thanks!

No you cant overwrite it yourself (unless you are a stellar programmer and can reverse engineer the FW). All you can really do is post it here and message the MODS and Admins. Also you can call International Tech Support (The number should be on the info that came with the player) and tell them.

Do I write a PM to the MODS, where are they?..:S

Our wonderful and helpful Mod is named Microsansa. You could also contact Slotmonsta as well.

I did. I send a pm both of them. I am waiting now.

Dont sit and wait. They could be a while in terms of getting back to you. Check back in a few hours.

Good Luck with this, I understand how annoying this can be.

I won’t. :))

I will check it few hourly.

Nothing yet.

any answer, good…

can’t you just change the language in the settings?

He wants to use the fuze in his native language. Imagine if you had to use your fuze in a language you barely speak.  I have a TV in my house that is set to German, which I speak but very poorly, funny thing is I cant change because thats probably in a menu that I cant read.

I guess I don’t understand what he wants.  It’s not like it’s in some foreign language which he does not speak.  It’s in Hungarian which I assume is his native language.  Does he want to keep it in Hungarian and just fix the bad translation or change it to a different language?  If he just wants to change the language he should be able to find it in the system settings even if it is poorly translated.  If he wants it in Hungarian he will probably have to talk to Sansa and work with them to fix the poor translation and wait till they fix it with a firmware update.  I just assumed he wanted to change the language and maybe he was unaware that there was a option in the settings.

There are problems with the Hungarian translation (In the OP). We are waiting on a response from Sandisk about getting it fixed.

I’ve send a pm to both of the MODS (here) two days ago, and one message to the Sandisk Support three days ago, but none of them responded.

My problem is that, the Hungarian translation is very poor.  E.g. there are non-translated and machine-translated words -and missing letters in them-. It makes the device cheap-feeling, I think they had a lot of time to fix this problem, in Hungarian forums other people mentioned they have this problem with the mp3 player too and some of them don’t know English at all. We have to use the Fuze in “poor” Hungarian, or not in our native language. It’s annoying, even more that, to make the translation would not be a big deal.

It is the weekend after the Christmas holiday here. Wait until Tomorrow at this time. See what happens by then.

Finally, they send an email, they said: we will correct the mistakes in the next firmware.

I will help them with a mistake list.

I hope they will correct all of the mistakes.

Thanks for the help,Conversionbox !
