Sansa e 260, showing "Bad Track", non-responsive, light is on, and won't turn off

the problem occured when I tried to copy some songs off of my harddrive directly onto the mp3 player…and now it’s frozen, I tired many of button combinations and nothing happens.  The light is glowing, and screen is on with the error on the screen, and it won’t shut off!  I tired plugging the mp3 player into the computer with the usb hook up, and my computer doesn’t reconize it even being there, as if the mp3 player won’t send the signal…I think it’s totally dead, I don’t know what to do.

Try holding down the power button for 30 seconds, that should turn it off. Then power it back on and see if it works again. Thats what I do when it happened to me.

cool, ya, that worked, thanks

yay!!! Is it working now besides you getting it turned off?
